CDRS AUTOMATIC TELEPHONE PROCESSES

The CDR (Call Detail Records) are files that contain detailed information about telephone calls made and received over a telephone network. These records include information such as the origin and destination number of the call, the duration of the call, the time the call started and ended, and other technical details.

CDRs are used primarily for billing purposes and to track usage patterns of the telephone network. For example, telecommunications operators can use CDRs to bill their customers for the use of the telephone network and to monitor network performance and detect technical problems. They can also be used to investigate service problems and to conduct market research and data analysis.

CDRs can also be used for security purposes and to comply with legal requirements. For example, CDRs can be used to trace suspicious calls or to provide evidence in criminal investigation cases.

The pre-invoicing of surpluses

Pre-billing of call overages is a process used to charge for the use of telecommunications services that go beyond the limits established in a service plan. For example, if a customer has a cell phone plan that includes a certain number of talk and text minutes per month, but then makes more calls or sends more text messages than the plan includes, the telecommunications company may charge for those surpluses through pre-invoicing.

Pre-billing of call overages is generally done by sending an additional invoice to the customer, which includes a charge for the use of additional services. In some cases, the telecommunications company may send a notice prior to billing, informing the customer of the additional use of services and the amount that will be charged.

Generation of CDR files

With the ISPGestión software it is possible to generate CDR (Call Detail Record) files with the details of the calls previously imported into ISPGestión from certain clients.

This file will be uploaded to a specific folder on an FTP server. In this way, the clients or agents that we indicate will be able to access and download their files and use them in turn to rate calls to their end clients.
